Learn to Golf at St. Andrews in Scotland

Where better to brush up on your golfing skills than St. Andrews, hallowed Scottish home of the game? The Golf Academy at St. Andrews, part of specialist tour operator Scotland for Golf, is a newcomer to the Scottish sporting scene. Run by hand-picked professionals, headed by George Finlayson, the PGA Coach Education Tutor for Scotland, the academy can take single players or small groups: with a maximum of eight per class, personal attention is assured.

The schools run throughout the year from the St. Andrews Links Practice Centre, adjacent to the world-famous Old Course. They run from two days to two weeks, with prices per person from £175 (two days) to £550 (seven days). There are daily lessons, practice sessions and supervised play of at least nine holes with a professional. Add-on extras include play on all the St. Andrews courses, including the renowned Old Course.

There are also seven-day packages combining golf and English language tuition for groups of a minimum of six, costing from £999 per student. For information, call Geraldine Chandler on 01333 330197. St. Andrews is on the Fife coast, 48 miles north of Edinburgh.
