Weill Appointed By Luxury Peru Eco-Tourism Organization – Hotels In Machu Picchu And Amazon Jungle

Peru’s renowned eco-tourism group, Inkaterra, has appointed Geoffrey Weill Associates as its public relations and marketing counsel in the United States. WEILL’s work for Inkaterra will begin on March 1, 2004. Inkaterra is sponsor of the non-profit Inkaterra Association and owns and operates two of Peru’s most fabled accommodations: the Pueblo Hotel at the legendary site of Machu Picchu, and the Reserva Amazonica deep in the rain forest.

The Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel is built in handcrafted Andean style, its cottages distributed within a vast tropical park that contains hundreds of plant specifies, canals, waterfalls and springs. Perfectly located for touring one of the world’s wonders, it offers visitors a variety of opportunities to appreciate “The Inca Experience.”

The Reserva Amazonica, in northeastern Peru, is an ecological reserve and research center on 25,000 private acres. 45-minutes by boat from Puerto Maldonado, the reserve is accessible from the Madre de Dios River. Its rustically luxurious thatched bungalows are built on stilts at the edge of one of the world’s most lush rain forests.

The Inkaterra Association is an innovative non-profit institution created to promote sustainable tourism and to document its activities for the conservation of the natural, cultural, and archeological resources of Peru.
