What's new in Nepal

Baber Mahal is presenting an evening of Charya Dances on March 14, 2004. Charya is a classical dance propounded by Buddhist priests in Kathmandu Valley as a meditation discipline. It has been practiced within closed courtyards for thousand years, Baber Mahal Revisited will be exhibiting six different Charya Dance features a different tantric deity whereby the dancers become the embodiment of that particular deity. It is thus a meditation by dance, a vehicle for spiritual and bodily transformation.

German Temple In Lumbini

H. H. Drigung Kyabgon Rinpoche inaugurated Great Drigyng Kagyud Lotus Stupa, known as Tara Foundation, Germany on February 27, 2004 in Lumbini.

More than 1000 Lamas and over 700 invitees from Buddhist, Semi Buddhist & Non Nuddhist countries participated the program. The programme started on February 25 and ended on March 6, 2004. During this Monkey Year. Cultureal Programme (Spiritual Musical Rendition) was performed by the world famous Nepali Classical group, Sur Sudha.

The agreement between Lumbini Development Trust and Tara Foundaton, Germany was signed in 1999 for the construction of Stupa which started in April 2000.
