Painters Exhibit at the Domaine du Daniel-Etienne Defaix in Burgundy, France, Through September 15

Three of the world’s greatest painters – Portalis, Geslin and Leconte – along with their guests from Korea, Lee Sook and Hong Hyunjoo, will be part of an exhibition at the Domaine du Daniel-Etienne Defaix in Burgundy through September 16. The exposition is free and open to the public 7 days a week from 9:30 am to 12:00, and from 2:00-6:00 pm. Tastings of the gold medal winner for Best Chardonnay in the World 2004 will also be available.

The Domaine Defaix is one of the most ancient Chablis domaines, dating back eight centuries. One thousand years ago, the monks from Pontigny invented chablis by utilizing only the very best earth, and Defaix keeps that tradition alive. The 25-acre vineyard is one of the finest in the world, with an average age of 38 years. Seven varieties of wine are produced – Chablis Vielles Vignes, Très Vielles Vignes, Chablis Premier Cru Les Lys, Chablis Premier Cru Vaillon, Chablis Premier Cru Côte de Léchet, Chablis Grand Cru Blanchot, Chablis Grand Cru Grenouilles and Bourgogne Rouge.
