Winterlicious Reservations Begin Today at More than 200 Restaurants Across Toronto
Reservations are now being accepted at Toronto restaurants participating in Winterlicious, the annual prix fixe promotion. This year’s winter culinary celebration runs from January 26 through February 8 and features more than 200 restaurants across the city. Three-course prix fixe lunch menus are priced at $23, $28 and $33, and dinner is priced at $33, $43 and $53.
Reservations can be made online or by telephone directly with the restaurants, and are strongly recommended. The list of participating restaurants, and their menus, are available online at http://www.toronto.ca/winterlicious.
“From 36 participating restaurants in 2003 to more than 200 this year, Winterlicious is a great Toronto success story that offers residents the opportunity to experience new cuisine or relive a great eating experience at the city’s best restaurants,” said Mayor John Tory. “From the east end to the west end and from downtown to uptown, the event features restaurants that shine a spotlight on Toronto’s amazing, diverse cuisine while continuing to generate economic impact for the city’s restaurant industry.”
“Everybody wins at Winterlicious,” said Councillor Michael Thompson (Ward 37 Scarborough Centre), Chair of the Economic Development Committee. “Diners get to sample great food at affordable prices, restaurants attract new customers at the slowest time of the year, and Toronto showcases our diverse and vibrant culinary scene. It is one of Toronto’s most magnetic events for locals and visitors alike.”
During Winterlicious, food enthusiasts looking to indulge at any of the 17 participating restaurants on King Street will experience warming stations, ice sculptures, fire performers and art installations along the street as part of the Everyone is King promotion. They can also take advantage of the Toronto Parking Authority’s offer of up to $5 off parking in the area surrounding the King Street Transit Pilot. The offer is available on the Green P app at any of the on-street and off-street parking locations where a location ID is provided along with the promo code that is offered at http://bit.ly/2DgFLaL.
“King Street is home to a large number of restaurants participating in this year’s Winterlicious, showcasing the diverse range of culinary experiences available in the neighbourhood,” said Councillor Joe Cressy (Ward 20 Trinity-Spadina). “Whether taking the streetcar, travelling on foot, cycling or driving to the neighbourhood, local business on King Street is open and ready to welcome all.”
