Arts and Tours in Austria 2004

Austria is one of the four ATC member countries offering a plethora of events throughout 2004. U.S. tour operators offer excellent packages to all the Alpine countries. Moreover, the Austrian Tourist Office has prepared exciting packages to some of the notable happenings. For example, “Art in Vienna and Graz”: Art lovers are familiar with Austria’s rich cultural heritage and now a more cutting-edge art scene is emerging. In Vienna, visit the Schiele Collection at the Leopold Museum and the reopened Albertina.

In Graz, the floating Mur island designed by Vito Acconci can be admired. Another point of interest is the Kunsthaus Graz. The Austrian Tourist Office in cooperation with Virtuoso Travel is offering a special six-night art appreciation travel package to these two cities. Packages start at US$ 968 per person.

“Music in Vienna and Salzburg”: features three nights in Vienna and two nights in Salzburg, the birthplace of Mozart, and guides you through the world of classical music. The program includes a performance at the Vienna State Opera, a Johann Strauss concert in Vienna, and a dinner concert in
Salzburg. Packages start at US$ 1,206 per person. For both packages, visit www.austria.info/us, check “Travel Specials”, or call Virtuoso at 800-923-4274.
